Race Day Details

Practice

Course buoys go in Friday. Crews can start practicing after 7 am Friday. Course opens 7 am Saturday for practice and fun. No practice race day. Note the change in traffic pattern for PEAK members. Please row clockwise around 5k course starting Friday. No recreational rowers or other craft will be allowed on the race course Sunday.

Trailers

Trailers can drop in the main parking lot overnight at your own risk, or you can arrange secure storage in Standley Lake’s locked lot with prior notice. We have room to store several boats on PEAK racks with prior notice. Contact scrimmage@peakrowing.org. On Sunday, all trailers should be moved to the main parking lot, close to the festivities.

Entry Gate

Gate open 6:30 am to 8 pm Friday and Saturday. 6 am on Sunday. Entry gate will have a list of confirmed registrants for free entry on Saturday and Sunday.

Spray Station

If you are bringing a craft, you must have the craft and oars sprayed at the spray station after entering the park. Spray station is open 7 am to 7 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Arrive early!

What To Bring

Come prepared with chairs, sun umbrellas, binoculars, food, drinks, your pfd, water shoes.

Complimentary Vittles & Pirate Hats

Complimentary juice, fruit and snack bars courtesy of PEAK Rowing at the registration table. Kona Ice will be serving cold delights. The craft corner will be open for you to make a rogue pirate hat. Best one wins a bit o swag!

Sunday Logistics

The park will open at 6 am. Your name will be on the participant list for free entry.

You must have your private equipment sprayed at the station before entering the parking lot. Leave time for this.

Know where to park if you have a trailer, cartop or just a vehicle.

Check in at the registration table starting at 7 am.

Crew meeting for all Swashbuckler rowers at 7 am at the registration table. First race begins at 8 am. Please bring your own pfd. They are required. Note that all crafts will return on the west beach. Please wear water shoes that can withstand mud and rocks.

SUP, Oarboard, kayak and canoe meeting at 8:30 at the registration table. First race begins at 9:30.

If you are not registered for a heat, you will be turned away at the start line. If you miss your heat or just want another spin around the lake, inform the registration desk of your entry in Heat 20 Mashups by 11 am, otherwise we’ll scratch this noon heat and start the Paddlers early.

We anticipate racing will end by 12:30 pm.

Zucchini awards and swag around 1 pm.
