Programs
PEAK welcomes people of all ages and abilities. Learn to row on flat Standley in a super-stable Oarboard, sculling boat or sweep boat with the help of a certified coach. Members can refine their skills with intensive classes, a sweep refresher, plus learn to scull and learn to sweep programs. If indoor exercise and strength-building are more your style, check out our erg programs.

Meet Our Coaches
Natalie Ormond
A USRowing level 2 certified coach, Natalie has been obsessed with rowing since 2013. She is an avid competitor and the founding force behind PEAK Rowing.
DawnMarie Schwappach
A USRowing coach and referee, DawnMarie has served the rowing community for 20+ years. She has adapted her coaching to effectively reach juniors, seniors, veterans and adaptive athletes as well as those with Asperger’s, post concussive/traumatic brain injury and learning disabilities. One of the nation’s first indoor rowing instructors, she developed a local program in 1996 which is still going strong today.
Erika Nelson-Wong
Erika is a USRowing level 1 certified coach who has competed in local and regional regattas in both sculling and sweep events. Erika made the switch from competitive cycling to rowing in 2001.
Deb Kornblut
Deb is a USRowing level 1 certified coach. She was introduced to the magic of rowing while at the College of William & Mary. She has been rowing since 2017 and has experience in sweep, scull and gig rowing. Prior to PEAK, she rowed with the Anchorage Rowing Association. She is always ready to share her excitement of the sport with others!
Peter Gozar
A USRowing level 2, adaptive & para certified coach, Pete has been sharing his love of rowing and sculling since the early 1990s. Originally from Cleveland, he was on the Kent State University Rowing Club team, and then a coach with Western Reserve Rowing Association and Rocky Mountain Rowing Club. Pete has competed in local, national and international regattas and is a founding force behind Rocky Mountain Rowing Club’s annual 5280 regatta.
